Kuznetsky Squad

Kuznetsky Squad was a young Moscow-based rap collective known for pairing street-rap energy with a flashy, luxury-focused aesthetic that set them apart within the Russian hip-hop scene. The group brought together several rappers, including MATEY, Fedorer and SH!IN, along with close collaborators, forming a tight-knit crew rather than a formally structured band.

Musically the collective moved between rap, pop-leaning hooks and R&B-tinged melodies, reflected in tracks such as «Клубника (Strawberry)», «Рич Форевер 2 (Rich Forever)», «Сквад (Squad)» and «Леденец (Lollipop)». Their output captured the youthful, materialistic swagger that resonated with a young Russian-language audience in the late 2010s.

The group officially disbanded on May 5, 2020, ending its run as one of the notable young crews of that era. Despite the split, their catalogue of tracks — including «Почти всегда (Almost Always)» and «Закрытый профиль (Closed Profile)» — remains a document of a specific moment in Russian street rap.
