Kurdo

Kurdo is a German rapper of Kurdish-Iraqi origin who came to Germany as a child refugee from the Kurdistan Region in northern Iraq. He began building an audience in the early 2010s through YouTube videos before signing briefly to the Azzlackz label, which led to his first mixtape release. His breakthrough came with the 2014 debut album «Slum Dog Millionaer», which featured collaborations with established German rap figures such as KC Rebell, Eko Fresh, Kontra K and Nazar and charted in the German top ten.

Musically, Kurdo works within German-language street rap, blending melodic hooks with harder trap-influenced production, a style that helped him stand alongside contemporaries in the Ruhr-area and Berlin scenes. He has also been known for his duo work with fellow rapper Majoe, further cementing his presence in the German urban music scene.

Over the years Kurdo has released tracks such as «Ya Salam», «Halbmond», «Vermiss dich» and «Habibi», reflecting themes of identity, love and street life that resonate with his diaspora background and broad fan base in Germany.
