KITSCHKRIEG

KitschKrieg is a Berlin-based production and creative collective founded in 2015 in the Kreuzberg district, built around producers Fizzle and Fiji Kris alongside photographer/graphic designer °awhodat°. Rather than functioning as a traditional band, the crew operates as a production and visual-identity unit, shaping both the sound and the striking DIY aesthetic behind a wave of influential modern German rap.

The collective became closely associated with rapper Trettmann, producing multiple EPs and albums together, and their sonic fingerprint — blending dancehall, punk rock, UK grime influences and heavy Auto-Tune textures — helped redefine what German-language rap could sound like. Their breakthrough single «Standard» topped the German charts and spent weeks at number one, cementing KitschKrieg's status as tastemakers rather than just background producers.

Beyond Trettmann, the crew has lent its production and visual language to artists like Joey Bargeld and Haiyti, extending the KitschKrieg aesthetic across the German hip-hop scene. Their work is marked by a strong sense of visual and sonic branding, merging music production with photography and graphic design into a cohesive artistic identity.
