kim dracula, born Samuel Wellings on November 24, 1997, is an Australian musician from Hobart, Tasmania, who rose to prominence by fusing metal, pop and hip-hop into a distinctive, genre-blurring sound. Before their solo breakthrough, they fronted the heavy metal band Jesterpose, formed in 2017, which released the EP COVID-19 in 2020. Kim's turning point came with a TikTok metal cover of Lady Gaga's «Paparazzi», officially released in December 2020, which went viral and quickly made them one of the most-followed Australian artists on the platform.

Building on that momentum, kim dracula developed a catalog of original songs marked by heavy guitars, screamed and sung vocal contrasts, and pop-informed hooks, including tracks like «Killdozer», «Make Me Famous», «1-800-CLOSE-UR-EYES» and «SAY PLEASE!». Their sound sits at the crossroads of metalcore, alternative pop and rap, appealing to fans across multiple scenes. In 2021 they collaborated with SosMula of City Morgue on «VINNY ROTTEN» from the mixtape 13 SONGS 2 DIE 2, later reuniting for further collaborations, cementing kim dracula's place as a genre-crossing figure bridging underground metal, viral internet culture and mainstream pop sensibilities.
