KIK, formerly known as Kikesa, is a French rapper from Nancy and a former member of the MTB Crew who went solo in 2016. He built his following through relentless output rather than a single breakout hit, most notably his self-imposed weekly challenge starting in December 2017 to release a new song, video, or vlog every Sunday on his YouTube channel Les Dimanches de Hippies. That project turned into a mixtape trilogy of the same name released throughout 2018, cementing him as one of the more prolific and internet-native voices in French rap.

His sound draws freely across rap, pop, and electronic-leaning production, moving between trap-influenced bangers and more melodic, hook-driven pop-rap without settling into one lane. He calls himself the embodiment of a nineties kid turned nouveau hippie, blending pop-culture references with genre-hopping instrumentals that range from future bass textures to raw hip-hop freestyles. This eclecticism, paired with his DIY YouTube-first release strategy, set him apart from more traditionally label-driven French rap careers.

His first studio album, «Puzzle», arrived on 18 October 2019, followed roughly two and a half years later by «Rubi». Songs like «Nancy» nod directly to his hometown roots, while tracks such as «Dernier texto» and «PLAGE 80» reflect the more pop and melodic side of his catalogue. Across his career he has continued to release freestyles and collaborative tracks, staying closely tied to the online community he built through his weekly content ritual.
