Kidd Kidd

Kidd Kidd, born Curtis Stewart on November 26, 1983, is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. He came up as one of the early members of Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment camp, running with the Southern hip hop crew Sqad Up before Young Money grew into the label empire it later became. His gruff, aggressive delivery and street-rooted subject matter made him a natural fit for guest verses, and he built his early profile through mixtape appearances and collaborations tied to the Cash Money and Young Money orbit.

His biggest commercial visibility came via his feature on Lil Wayne's «Miss Officer» in 2008, which introduced him to a wider audience beyond the New Orleans scene. He later moved from Young Money to sign with 50 Cent's G-Unit Records, a partnership that fit his hard-edged, no-frills rap style and put him alongside other G-Unit affiliates during the label's 2010s run. In 2015 he was named to XXL Magazine's Freshman Class, a recognition given annually to rappers considered to be on the rise, cementing his standing among his peers.

After parting ways with G-Unit in 2018, Kidd Kidd shifted focus to his own imprint, RLLNR Records Ent., building out projects independently. In 2020 he released the album «2014 Mazant Street», named for a New Orleans street, underscoring how tightly his music stays connected to his hometown roots even as his career carried him through some of hip hop's most recognizable label rosters.
