Kid Trunks

Kid Trunks, born Minh Nguyen, is a Vietnamese-American rapper from Broward County, Florida, part of the South Florida underground scene that emerged in the mid-to-late 2010s. He is a member of the collective Members Only, a group closely tied to the wave of young, internet-native artists who blended raw, lo-fi rap production with elements of rock, punk energy and emo influences.

His sound sits within the SoundCloud-rap tradition, marked by distorted, aggressive production, melodic hooks and an unpolished, DIY aesthetic that resonated with a younger, online fanbase. Tracks that circulated widely helped establish him within that scene's tight-knit network of collaborators, many of whom crossed over between rap, rock and electronic-leaning production.
