Kent Jones is an American rapper, singer and producer from Tallahassee, Florida. He rose to national attention in 2015 after signing to DJ Khaled's We The Best Music Group, riding the momentum of his breakout single «Don't Mind», a laid-back, melodic track built around a sample of Sean Paul's «Baby Boy» that became a summer anthem and crossed over onto pop and R&B radio.

Jones's sound blends Southern hip-hop cadences with singing hooks and Caribbean-inflected rhythm, placing him at the intersection of rap, R&B and pop rather than squarely in one lane. That hybrid style helped «Don't Mind» spawn official remixes, including a widely circulated Sickick version, extending its reach well beyond its initial release.
