Kenny Mason

Kenny Mason, born Edwin Kenneth Green Jr. on December 17, 1994, is an American rapper, singer-songwriter and producer from West Atlanta. He gained recognition following the release of his single «Hit» in August 2019, a track that showcased the raw, genre-blurring style he would become known for.

His 2020 debut album Angelic Hoodrat carried no guest features and was largely self-produced alongside frequent collaborator Julian Cruz, underlining his hands-on approach to his sound, which fuses rap with distorted, rock-influenced guitars and aggressive production. Its 2021 follow-up, Angelic Hoodrat: Supercut, expanded the palette with guest appearances from artists including Denzel Curry and Freddie Gibbs.

Mason has built a reputation for a sound that resists easy genre classification, drawing on rap, rock and R&B in equal measure. He has collaborated with a wide range of artists such as J. Cole, Sheck Wes, IDK, Maxo Kream and Bas, while maintaining especially frequent creative ties with Denzel Curry, JID, GRIP, Deante' Hitchcock and redveil — placing him firmly within Atlanta's experimental hip-hop scene.
