Kenny Beats

Kenny Beats, born Kenneth Charles Blume III on May 10, 1991, is an American record producer who has become one of hip-hop's most recognizable beatmakers. Known for hard-hitting 808s combined with unconventional, often left-field samples, he built his reputation working closely with rap artists rather than chasing pop crossovers, giving his catalog a distinctly underground yet widely respected feel.

He first gained traction as one half of the EDM duo LOUDPVCK alongside Ryan Marks before retiring that project in 2018 to focus fully on hip-hop production. Since then he has released acclaimed collaborative albums with Denzel Curry, KEY!, ALLBLACK, Q Da Fool and Rico Nasty, and has produced widely streamed records such as 10k.Caash's «Aloha» and Ski Mask the Slump God's «Foot Fungus». His work spans aggressive trap production and more melodic, atmospheric beats, showing a range that keeps him in demand across different corners of rap.

Beyond the studio, Kenny created The Cave, a web series in which artists freestyle over beats he builds in real time in under fifteen minutes — a format that produced the viral Zack Fox track «Jesus is the One (I Got Depression)». In late 2025 he announced he would retire the Kenny Beats name and go by his legal name going forward, marking a new chapter after roughly a decade as one of rap's defining producers.
