KeBlack

KeBlack, born Cédric Mateta Nkomi, is a French rapper and singer of Congolese origin from Nogent-sur-Oise. He first gained attention on social media, where his natural ability to blend melodic singing with rap drew frequent comparisons to Maître Gims. His breakthrough came in 2014 with «Tout va bien», a piano-driven cover of a John Legend song that accumulated massive online views before being officially released as a single.

Signed to Youssoupha's label Bomayé Musik, distributed through Universal, KeBlack reached a new level of mainstream visibility during Euro 2016, when footballers Paul Pogba and Patrice Evra filmed themselves dancing to his song «J'ai déconné». The viral moment sent KeBlack on a media tour and propelled the track to the top of the French charts. He released his debut project, Premier étage, on 27 January 2017, driven by several radio hits.

His music sits at the crossroads of rap, R&B and pop, characterized by catchy, sing-song hooks layered over urban production, a style that has made him a fixture on French radio and streaming charts with tracks like «Bazardée», «Complètement sonné» and «Evadé».
