Kay One

Kay One is a German rapper who signed to Bushido's label Ersguterjunge in 2007, initially building recognition through guest features, compilation tracks, and free-download releases before establishing himself as a solo artist. In 2009 he won a Juice Award in the newcomer category, and in May 2010 he released his debut solo album, Kenneth allein zu Haus, featuring guest appearances from Bushido, Fler, Frauenarzt and others, which reached number 7 on the German album charts.

Later in 2010 he joined forces with Bushido and Fler for the collaborative album Berlins Most Wanted, which climbed to number 2 in the German charts, further cementing his standing within the Berlin gangsta-rap scene of the era. His second solo album, Prince of Belvedair, followed in early 2012, reaching number 4 in both Germany and Austria, shortly before he announced his departure from Ersguterjunge.

Kay One's sound blends rap with strong pop and club influences, evident in tracks like «Señorita», «Style & das Geld», and «Netflix & Chill», which lean into catchy, radio-friendly hooks rather than strictly street-oriented production. Songs such as «Tag des Jüngsten Gerichts», «Louis Louis», and «V.I.P.» round out a catalog that spans harder rap material alongside more commercial, party-oriented tracks, reflecting his evolution from Bushido protégé to an artist with broader pop crossover appeal.
