Kali (POL)

Kali, born Marcin Kamil Gutkowski on 22 October 1981 in Kraków, is a Polish rapper who first made his name as a member of the hip-hop group Firma, active from 2000 to 2010. His work with Firma helped establish him within Poland's underground rap scene, known for its gritty, street-level storytelling and connections to the country's reggae and dancehall-influenced hip-hop movements.

Since 2009 he has also been a core member of the collective Ganja Mafia, and from 2011 he has pursued a solo career, building a catalogue that blends hard-edged rap with reggae and dancehall textures typical of the Kraków scene he emerged from. Tracks such as «Blok D», «KGM» and «California» reflect this mix of streetwise lyricism and genre-crossing production, while «Pacyfka (Anahata)» and «Opary» show a more introspective, melodic side of his output.

Over the years Kali has appeared as a guest on releases by artists including Bosski Roman, DJ 600V, Hemp Gru, Paluch, Popek, Slums Attack and WWO, reflecting his standing as a connective figure across different strands of Polish hip-hop. His long career, spanning group work, collective projects and solo material, has made him one of the more recognizable and durable voices in the Polish rap scene.
