JUMEX, born Mark Anthon Kiessling, is an American musician from the Chicago area whose sound blends alternative, punk and hip-hop influences into an emotionally raw, genre-blurring style popular with younger listeners drawn to internet-born rock and rap crossover. Raised in Countryside, Illinois, he took his stage name from the Mexican fruit-juice brand Jumex, a nod to his working-class suburban upbringing and his mother's Mexican heritage.

His early tracks, including «TRAPPED» and «LONER», established a template of confessional, angst-driven lyrics set against distorted guitars and lo-fi production, drawing comparisons to acts that merge rock energy with rap cadences.
