Juju

Juju, born Judith Wessendorf, is a German rapper of Moroccan descent who first rose to prominence as one half of SXTN, the duo she formed with her friend Nura. SXTN became known for blunt, provocative lyrics that broke with the male-dominated norms of German street rap, and their debut album «Leben am Limit» topped the German hip-hop charts, with the single «Von Party zu Party» achieving gold status.

After SXTN, Juju launched a solo career, releasing the track «Intro» in March 2019 ahead of her debut solo album «Bling Bling», which came out in June of that year. Her solo material broadened her sound beyond straightforward rap, incorporating pop and R&B elements while keeping the direct, confident delivery that made her known in the first place.

Juju is considered one of the more visible women in German-language rap, having helped open space for female artists in a scene long dominated by men. Songs like «Kein Wort», «Hi Babe» and «Berliner Schnauze» reflect her continued presence in the German urban pop and hip-hop landscape.
