Juelz Santana

Juelz Santana, born LaRon Louis James, is an American rapper from Harlem, New York, best known as a member of the Diplomats (Dipset), the influential East Coast hip hop crew led by Cam'ron and Jim Jones. He gained early recognition for guest appearances on Cam'ron's singles «Oh Boy» and «Hey Ma» before launching a solo career on Def Jam Recordings with his 2003 debut album From Me to U.

His breakout solo success came with What the Game's Been Missing!, which produced the top-ten hit «There It Go (The Whistle Song)» and cemented his reputation as one of Dipset's most distinctive voices, known for a laid-back, melodic flow and heavy use of ad-libs that became widely imitated across mainstream hip hop. His delivery style and catchphrases helped shape the sound of mid-2000s New York rap.

As a core member of the Diplomats alongside Cam'ron, Jim Jones, and Freekey Zekey, Santana contributed to a run of influential group and solo mixtapes that helped define the Harlem sound of the era, blending street narratives with hooky, radio-ready production. He has continued to release music and remains a respected figure within the Dipset legacy and East Coast hip hop more broadly.
