Jory Boy

Jory Boy, born Fernando Sierra in Carolina, Puerto Rico, moved to the United States as a child and spent much of his adolescence in Camden, New Jersey. He first rose to prominence as one half of the reggaeton duo Nova y Jory, alongside Fernando «Nova» González, in the late 2000s. The duo became known for a melodic, romantic style of reggaeton that stood apart from the more street-oriented sound dominant at the time, and their track «Traila» became one of the genre's defining hits of 2009.

After Nova y Jory split around 2012, Jory Boy launched a solo career, releasing his debut album «Matando La Liga» in 2015. As a solo artist he continued to lean into romantic reggaeton and Latin pop-influenced tracks, collaborating with a range of urban and pop artists and building a catalog of remixes that kept him connected to the broader Latin trap and reggaeton scene. Songs such as «No Me Busques», «Mala Suerte» and «Detrás De Ti» reflect his continued focus on love, heartbreak and nightlife themes.

Jory Boy occupies a notable place in reggaeton history as part of one of the genre's most recognizable romantic duos before establishing his own identity as a solo performer within the Puerto Rican urban music tradition.
