Jessi (제시)

Jessi (born Jessica H.O.) is an American-born rapper and singer who has built her career primarily in South Korea, becoming one of the most prominent female voices in Korean hip-hop. She debuted in the mid-2000s with her album «Get Up», then stepped away from the industry for several years before returning around 2014 as part of the trio Lucky J.

Her visibility grew significantly through television, especially competition shows like «Unpretty Rapstar» and «High School Rapper», where her blunt, confident persona and fluent bilingual delivery in Korean and English set her apart. She later joined Psy's label P NATION and released a run of solo singles and EPs that leaned into brash, sexually confident lyricism over trap and hip-hop-pop production, tracks like «ZOOM» and «Gucci» becoming some of her signature hits.

Jessi has also been part of collaborative projects such as the group Refund Sisters, and after her contract with P NATION ended she moved to MORE VISION, the label of her longtime collaborator Jay Park. Across her career she has distinguished herself with an outspoken public persona and a catalog that spans rap, R&B, pop and rock-inflected production.
