JayDaYoungan, born Javorius Tykes Scott, was an American rapper from Bogalusa, Louisiana. He emerged from the SoundCloud and street-rap scene in the mid-2010s, releasing his mixtape «YOUNGANimal» in 2016 and steadily building a following through raw, autobiographical storytelling rooted in his hometown experiences.

His breakthrough came with singles «Elimination» and «23 Island», the latter becoming a viral hit that eventually went multi-platinum. His style blended aggressive Southern trap production with melodic hooks and rapid-fire delivery, placing him among the wave of young Louisiana artists who brought a distinctly regional voice to national rap audiences.

JayDaYoungan continued releasing music prolifically across mixtapes and singles like «Thot Thot» and «Opps», cultivating a loyal fanbase before his death in July 2022, when he was shot in Bogalusa. His catalog remains an important document of early 2020s Louisiana street rap.
