About the artist
JAW, also known as Dokta Jotta and born Jonas Andre Willy Ender, is a German rapper and producer from Freiburg im Breisgau. His lyrics revolve around depression, mental illness, and the darker recesses of the human psyche, drawing heavily on his own biography — including his childhood, a voluntary admission to a psychiatric clinic, and the death of his mother.
He began recording as JAW in 2003, releasing the EP «Seelensturm», and that same year co-founded the group Projekt Chaos Punks with Maexer, Rynerrr and DJ Tjoma, releasing the album «Nimm's Und Verreck Dran». Through the RBA scene he connected with artists such as Kollegah and Hollywood Hank, collaborators he would work with in later years. His 2006 debut album «Schock fürs Leben» was followed by the EP «Zwischen Chemie und Wahnsinn», a collaboration with Me$$age.
JAW is also known for parodying Kollegah under the alter ego Konnegah, while separately producing several tracks on Kollegah's album «Alphagene». He later released the mixtape «Gehirn im Mixer». Songs like «Menschenhass», «Kranke Welt» and «Sozialphobie Remix» reflect his signature blend of confessional, psychologically raw storytelling with a distinctly underground German rap sound.
