Jason Isbell

Jason Isbell is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Green Hill, Alabama, celebrated as one of the leading voices in modern Americana and alt-country. He first gained recognition as a member of Drive-By Truckers before launching a solo career with his 2007 debut album «Sirens of the Ditch». After getting sober in 2012 following years of struggling with alcohol and substance abuse, Isbell entered a remarkably productive and acclaimed period in his career.

His breakthrough came with the 2013 album «Southeastern», produced by Dave Cobb, which earned him major Americana Music Awards including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for «Cover Me Up». He followed this success with «Something More Than Free» in 2015, which swept the same categories.
