Jala Brat

Jala Brat, born Jasmin Fazlić, is a Bosnian rapper and singer-songwriter from Sarajevo, one of the most prominent figures in the modern Balkan hip-hop and pop-rap scene. He began making music as a teenager and rose to wider prominence through collaborations with fellow Bosnian artists, particularly a long-running partnership with Buba Corelli, with whom he released the joint albums Pakt s Đavolom and Kruna. Their work helped shape a regional sound blending trap production with catchy, radio-friendly hooks sung and rapped in Bosnian.

Jala Brat represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 as part of a collective credited on the song «Ljubav je», alongside Dalal Midhat-Talaković, Deen and Ana Rucner, extending his reach beyond the hip-hop audience into mainstream regional pop. His solo album #99, released in 2019, featured guest appearances from artists such as Buba Corelli, Coby and RAF Camora, reflecting his continued connections across the Balkan and German-speaking rap scenes.

His music is characterized by melodic trap beats, emotionally direct lyrics and a smooth vocal delivery that bridges rap and R&B-influenced singing, making him one of the defining voices of contemporary ex-Yugoslav hip-hop.
