Jairzinho

Jairzinho is a Dutch rapper and actor born in Paramaribo, Suriname, who grew up in Rotterdam. Before turning to music he worked as an actor, appearing in productions for the Ro Theater and other Rotterdam-based theatre groups, and even had a role in the soap Onderweg naar Morgen. His early forays into hip-hop included collaborations such as a clip with footballer Memphis Depay and a track with the American group Rich Kidz, but it took years for his music career to gain real traction.

In 2009, together with his brother Luciano, he founded the label Rotterdam Airlines Music Group (RAMG), which became a launching pad for a new generation of Dutch rappers. The label's fortunes changed decisively when Sevn Alias joined around 2015, and the 2016 compilation album «Gate 16» — featuring the label's roster — became a long-running hit on the Dutch charts.

As RAMG grew into one of the most influential imprints in Dutch rap, Jairzinho himself returned to releasing music more actively, often rapping alongside labelmates. Songs like «Gass» with Sevn Alias and «Laat Niet Los» featuring Jonna Fraser became some of his best-known tracks, cementing his place within the Dutch rap and R&B scene.
