JACKBOYS

JACKBOYS is a rap collective assembled by Travis Scott under his Cactus Jack Records imprint, bringing together artists including Don Toliver and Sheck Wes, who had both already appeared on Scott's 2018 album «ASTROWORLD» — Toliver on «CAN'T SAY» and Wes on «NO BYSTANDERS». The group's name and lineup grew out of that Cactus Jack creative circle rather than functioning as a traditional band with fixed membership.

On December 27, 2019, the collective released its self-titled compilation album, «JACKBOYS», featuring Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and Sheck Wes alongside guest appearances from artists such as ROSALÍA, Lil Baby, Quavo, Offset, Young Thug, and Pop Smoke. The project captured the aggressive, bass-heavy, hazy-trap aesthetic Scott had cultivated on his solo work, spreading it across a roster of rising Cactus Jack talent. Standout moments included «GATTI», «OUT WEST», and «GANG GANG», tracks that mix maximalist production with hard-hitting hooks.

One track from the compilation, «HAD ENOUGH» by Don Toliver featuring Quavo and Offset, later found a second life on Toliver's debut solo album, «Heaven Or Hell», underscoring how the JACKBOYS project served as a launching pad for its members' individual careers. A follow-up self-titled compilation has been anticipated as a continuation of the label's collective releases.
