Immortal Technique

Immortal Technique, born Felipe Andres Coronel, is an American rapper of Afro-Peruvian descent, born in Lima, Peru, and raised in Harlem, New York City. Known for his uncompromising political lyricism, he built his reputation independently, releasing albums such as Revolutionary Vol. 1 and Revolutionary Vol. 2 largely outside the major-label system.

His music confronts class struggle, institutional racism, colonialism, government corruption, and religion, delivered through dense, technically intricate rhyme schemes and a confrontational, unflinching style. Tracks like «Dance with the Devil» and «The 4th Branch» are widely regarded as landmark works of political hip-hop, combining narrative storytelling with sharp social critique.
