About the artist
Homer el Mero Mero, born Lucas Darío Giménez on June 5, 1990, in Cutral Có, Neuquén, Argentina, is an Argentine rapper and one of the foundational figures of the country's modern trap and street rap scene. He began writing through freestyle battles around 2013, developing lyrics rooted in his experiences with street life and drugs, a raw, autobiographical style that set him apart early on.
After relocating to Buenos Aires alongside fellow rapper C.R.O, Homer became a central figure of the MDB crew, which also includes Chulu and his brother Lil Troca. His 2016 debut album «Solo Negocios» established his voice in the scene, followed the same year by the collaborative record «Pure Drug» with BARDERO$ and a run of EPs including «CHICOS DEL BARRIO», «OTHERWI$E» and «Cocaína».
Over the following years he collaborated with major names in Argentine trap such as Duki, Ysy A and Neo Pistea, helping cement the genre's rise to mainstream popularity. His 2019 album «En Punga» further solidified his standing as one of the pioneers of Argentine trap, with tracks like «Domingo» and «Patagonia» reflecting his continued focus on personal storytelling and street narratives across rap, pop and R&B-inflected production.
