High 5

High5 is a rap group from Croatia formed in 2008, made up of five members whose stage names give the group its identity: Riđi, Žugi, Hladni, Snajper and Rade Ulica. Emerging from the Rijeka rap scene, the group became one of the leading voices of the new-style Croatian rap movement, part of the wider circle associated with the Triestri collective alongside KUKU$ Klan.

The group released the EP «Triestri» in 2014, followed by the album «Schengengang» in 2015, records that helped establish their reputation as pioneers of a harder, street-oriented rap sound in the Croatian and regional Balkan hip-hop scene. Tracks like «Otrova u čaj», «Cheez», «Đir» and «Jackie Chan» reflect their blunt, colloquial lyricism and beats rooted in trap and street rap aesthetics.

High5's music, delivered largely in Croatian slang and regional dialect, resonated with a young audience across the former Yugoslav region, and the group is frequently cited as one of the key acts that pushed new-style rap into the regional mainstream during the 2010s.
