Healy, born Ethan Healy, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter from Memphis, Tennessee. He first gained attention appearing in comedic freestyle videos on his friend's YouTube channel FrothyChicken before releasing music under his own name. His breakthrough came with the 2015 EP «A Galaxy With Skin», an atmospheric, genre-blending project that mixed rap cadences with melodic, R&B-tinged hooks and found a large audience on SoundCloud.

Healy's sound sits at the intersection of alternative rap, pop and R&B, marked by hazy production, introspective lyrics and a willingness to sing as often as he raps. His 2017 debut album «Subluxe», led by the singles «Slalom» and «Unwind», solidified this hybrid style, and he followed it in 2021 with «Tungsten», a more expansive and experimental record.
