Headie One, from the Broadwater Farm Estate in Tottenham, North London, is one of the most influential figures in UK drill. He began releasing music around 2014 as part of the OFB collective, building his reputation alongside collaborators like RV through mixtapes such as Sticks and Stones and Drillers x Trappers.

His breakout came with tracks including «Know Better» and, in 2019, chart hits like «18HUNNA» featuring Dave and «I Spy» with Krept & Konan, which brought UK drill's dark, bass-heavy sound and rapid-fire delivery into the mainstream. Headie One's style blends sharp storytelling rooted in street life with a distinctive, melodic-adjacent flow, helping define the genre's commercial breakthrough in the late 2010s. Beyond OFB, he has worked extensively with producer Fred again.. on the mixtape Gang, further pushing drill toward experimental and left-field production.
