About the artist
Hanybal, born Sascha-Ramy Nour in Frankfurt am Main, is a German rapper of German-Egyptian descent who became a prominent figure in the country's Azzlackz collective. He began rapping as one half of the duo 439 in the mid-2000s, later stepping away from music before being signed by Haftbefehl to the Azzlackz label, where he had already appeared on several collaborators' tracks.
His solo debut album, Weg von der Fahrbahn, released in 2015, established his provocative, brutally honest lyrical style, which continued to define his work on the follow-up Haramstufe Rot the following year. The single «Vanilla Sky», featuring Nimo, became one of his most successful releases and helped bring his sound to a wider German rap audience.
Hanybal's music is characterized by raw, confrontational storytelling paired with a distinctive vocal delivery, placing him among the more uncompromising voices in German street rap. His later album Fleisch continued this trajectory, reinforcing his reputation as an artist unafraid of dark, unfiltered subject matter within the genre.
