Hanumankind

Hanumankind is an Indian rapper, singer and songwriter whose journey between Malappuram in Kerala and Houston, Texas shaped a sound that draws on both South Indian roots and American hip-hop tradition. After spending part of his childhood in the US, he returned to Bengaluru and became a fixture of the city's underground desi hip-hop scene, performing at local shows and festivals like the NH7 Weekender long before mainstream recognition arrived.

His early independent releases, including the Kalari and Surface Level EPs, established him as a technically sharp lyricist with a distinctive, fiery flow influenced by American artists such as Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Logic, alongside Houston's regional rap tradition. This grounding in both worlds gave his music an unusually wide sonic palette for the Indian scene.

Hanumankind's breakthrough came with «Big Dawgs», a single whose catchy hook and striking, culturally rooted music video propelled him to international attention and made him one of the most recognizable voices to emerge from India's hip-hop underground. Tracks like «Run It Up» and «Villainous» further cemented his reputation as an artist bridging local identity with global rap sensibilities.
