HammAli & Navai

HammAli & Navai are a Russian-language rap and pop duo formed in 2016, consisting of Alexander Aliev (HammAli), born in Baku on 18 July 1992, and Navai Bakirov, born in Moscow on 2 April 1995 — both of ethnic Azerbaijani background. The duo blends rap verses with melodic, emotionally charged pop and R&B hooks, a formula that made them one of the most streamed acts in the Russian-language music scene of the late 2010s.

Their breakthrough came in 2018 with the single Пустите меня на танцпол, accompanied by a high-profile music video that brought them mainstream attention beyond the rap underground. That same year they released their debut album JANAVI along with the EP JANAVI: Аутотомия, establishing a signature style built on catchy, danceable hooks paired with confessional, often melancholic lyrics.

The duo's popularity grew further in 2019 with the tracks Девочка-война and Прятки, both of which became major hits and cemented their presence on Russian radio and streaming charts. They continued this trajectory with the 2021 album Когда хорошему человеку плохо. Songs like Птичка, Цветок and Лепесток show their consistent focus on emotionally direct storytelling wrapped in polished, radio-friendly production.
