guccihighwaters, born Morgan William Murphy on April 3, 1998, is an American singer, rapper and producer now based in Los Angeles. Before adopting the guccihighwaters name he released instrumentals under the alias notmorgn, working as a producer before stepping out as a vocalist and songwriter in 2017.

He is known for a hazy, emotionally raw blend of rap and alt-rock influenced production, part of the wave of SoundCloud-era artists who fused confessional, often self-deprecating lyricism with guitar textures and lo-fi beats. Tracks like «i'm so sick of this», «i hate me too» and «rather be a ghost» lean into themes of self-loathing, heartbreak and numbness, delivered over hushed, melodic instrumentals.

In March 2020 he signed to Epitaph Records, a label historically rooted in punk that has increasingly embraced emo-rap and alternative artists, giving guccihighwaters wider distribution for his introspective catalogue. Reserved and famously private about his personal life, he built his following largely through the strength of his music rather than public persona, spending his early years in Ireland before relocating to the United States — a background that adds an outsider's distance to the loneliness that runs through much of his songwriting.
