Grebz

Grebz is a Russian hip-hop project formed by Chatti (Andrei Antonenko) and Simptom (Kirill Zhalnin), both former members of the influential group Griby (Grebenshchikov aside — «Griby» itself translates as Mushrooms), known for the viral hit «Tanci». After Griby disbanded, the pair continued working together under the new name Grebz, carrying over the loose, ironic, internet-friendly sensibility that had made their earlier project popular among Russian-speaking listeners.

Musically Grebz sits at the intersection of rap, pop and electronic production, favoring hooky, lo-fi-leaning beats, deadpan delivery and lyrics that mix everyday slang with absurdist humor. Tracks such as «Юрфак», «По ремонту», «Контракты» and «Каракум» showcase this blend of conversational storytelling and catchy, meme-ready choruses, while «Несправедливо» and «Лол лайф» lean into more melodic, downtempo textures.

The duo built a following largely through social media and streaming platforms rather than traditional label promotion, releasing music independently and maintaining a direct relationship with fans through VKontakte and Telegram. Grebz is often discussed as a continuation of the DIY, internet-native wave of Russian rap and pop that Griby helped popularize in the mid-2010s.
