Gordo

Gordo, born Diamante Anthony Blackmon, is a Guatemalan-American record producer and DJ from Walkersville, Maryland, previously known for over a decade as Carnage. Under his original moniker he became one of the most in-demand producers in trap and hip-hop, crafting hits and collaborating with artists including Drake, Migos, Lil Yachty, G-Eazy, and Lil Pump, helping shape the aggressive, bass-heavy trap-EDM crossover sound of the 2010s.

In 2021 he retired the Carnage identity and relaunched as Gordo, a persona built around house and dance music rather than hip-hop production. He has spoken publicly about the shift being driven by burnout from constant touring and years spent chasing hits for other artists, seeking instead a fresh creative direction rooted in club and house music.

As Gordo, he has continued to work across genres, drawing on his hip-hop production background while building a catalog geared toward dancefloors, and has kept ties to some of the same artists and scenes he built his name with as Carnage.
