Goodie Mob

Goodie Mob is an Atlanta rap group formed in the early 1990s as part of the influential Dungeon Family collective, consisting of Cee-Lo Green, Khujo, T-Mo and Big Gipp. First introduced to wider audiences through an appearance on OutKast's debut album, the group quickly established itself as a defining voice of Southern hip-hop, offering a socially conscious, soulful counterpoint to the era's dominant coastal rap scenes.

Their 1995 debut «Soul Food» is regarded as a landmark of Southern rap, blending gritty street narratives with spiritual and political commentary, anchored by the classic single «Cell Therapy». The follow-up «Still Standing» (1998) cemented their critical standing, while «World Party» (1999) marked a more commercial, dancefloor-oriented turn that coincided with Cee-Lo's departure from the group to pursue a solo career.

Goodie Mob continued as a trio before eventually reuniting with Cee-Lo for live performances and, later, the album «Age Against the Machine» (2013), followed by «Survival Kit» (2020). Alongside OutKast, the group is credited as a foundational pillar of the Dungeon Family sound and of Atlanta's rise as a hip-hop powerhouse, with songs like «Dirty South» and «Black Ice (Sky High)» remaining touchstones of the region's musical identity.
