Glasses Malone

Glasses Malone is a rapper from Watts, Los Angeles, who came up through the West Coast street rap scene in the late 2000s. He first gained attention as part of The Game's Black Wall Street imprint before signing to Cash Money Records in 2011, releasing his debut studio album that year. His music is rooted in gritty, first-person street narratives delivered over heavy G-funk-influenced production, continuing the lineage of Compton and South Central storytelling rap.

Malone built his early buzz through mixtapes and hard-hitting singles like «That Good» and «Haterz», earning respect for a raspy, confident delivery and unflinching depiction of gang life and hustling. Tracks such as «Thuggin'» and «Certified» showcased his ability to blend West Coast bounce with mainstream radio appeal, while «2Pac Must Die (Orlando Anderson)» reflected his willingness to tackle controversial, deeply personal subject matter tied to hip-hop history.
