GIRIBOY (기리보이)

Giriboy, born Hong Si-young, is a South Korean rapper, singer, producer and actor who has been a fixture of the K-hip-hop scene since debuting in 2011 under Just Music, the label founded by rapper Swings, one of his earliest friends and influences. His debut single was «You Look So Good To Me», and he later co-founded the label Wedaplugg Records with Swings, serving as its co-CEO.

He gained wider recognition through appearances on competitive hip-hop television shows, including Show Me The Money, where he crossed paths with Zion.T and the band Gate Flowers, and No Mercy, where he worked alongside members of the boy group MONSTA X. His 2015 album, «Sexual Perceptions», reached the top ten of the Circle Album Chart, and he was named Producer of the Year at the Korean Hip-Hop Awards in both 2019 and 2020.

Giriboy has described his own music as carrying loser sensibilities, often weaving in undertones of depression and self-doubt beneath catchy, genre-blending production that spans rap, R&B, pop and electronic textures. Later releases such as «졸업식 (Graduation)» and «Fatal Album III» were met with critical acclaim, producing standout tracks like «제설 (Snow Sweeping)» and «Wewantourmoneyback».
