Gimpson

Gimpson, born Tomasz Działowy on 17 April 1994 in Kołobrzeg, Poland, is a Polish rapper, YouTuber and streamer who built a massive online following before turning music into a serious pursuit. He started uploading videos in 2008 under an early channel handle before settling into the Gimperr/Gimper identity in 2011, mixing comedy, gaming and vlogging content that made him one of the most recognizable Polish internet personalities of his generation.

His rap career began almost as a joke, with a comedic release mocking the genre, before he committed to a more serious debut album in 2014 that sold thousands of copies independently despite no major label backing. The breakthrough came with the album Niepowstrzymany, which cemented him as a legitimate presence in Polish hip-hop rather than just an internet curiosity rapping on the side.

Gimpson's sound leans toward brash, punchline-driven trap and pop-rap aimed at a young, internet-native audience, with tracks like «Bombsite B» and «#hot16challenge» showing his roots in online battle and challenge culture. His crossover between YouTube entertainment and rap made him a template for the generation of Polish creators who moved fluidly between platforms and genres.
