Gers Pardoel is a Dutch rapper and singer who broke through in the late 2000s and early 2010s with a warm, melodic style that set him apart from harder-edged Dutch hip-hop. He first drew attention through a collaboration with the duo The Opposites, but achieved wide fame in 2011 with «Ik Neem Je Mee», a breezy, feel-good single that became a defining Dutch summer hit and introduced his signature blend of rap verses with sung, radio-friendly hooks.
