Gemitaiz

Gemitaiz, born Davide De Luca in Rome on November 4, 1988, is an Italian rapper and producer who has been active in the country's hip-hop scene since the mid-2000s. He started out as part of the crew Xtreme Team, releasing several projects with them before launching a solo career and signing to the label Tanta Roba, through which he released his debut album L'unico compromesso in 2013. Alongside his official studio albums, he built a devoted following with the long-running Quello Che Vi Consiglio mixtape series, which he has released almost yearly since 2009.

Musically, Gemitaiz is known for sharp, technical wordplay, a raw delivery rooted in classic boom-bap influences, and a willingness to experiment across rap, pop and R&B textures. Since 2011 he has maintained a notable ongoing partnership with fellow rapper MadMan, collaborating both in the studio and on stage, a pairing that has become one of the defining duos of Italian street rap.

More recently, Gemitaiz has expanded into production, crafting beats for himself as well as for other Italian artists such as Dani Faiv, Ensi, Briga, Nayt, Gianni Bismark and Jerry Sampi. This shift has cemented his reputation not just as a lyricist but as a versatile figure shaping the sound of contemporary Italian rap.
