About the artist
Ganja Mafia is a Polish hip-hop collective formed in 2009 in Kraków, built around rapper and producer Kali, previously a member of the group Firma. The crew brought together several rappers and producers under the Ganja Mafia Label banner, positioning themselves within Poland's street-oriented rap scene with an unmistakable reggae and dancehall-influenced streak running through the beats.
Their name and much of their imagery lean into cannabis culture, and tracks such as «Prawdziwi Palacze» and «Lemon Haze» make that theme explicit, while songs like «Mój Ziomek» and «Pole Marysi» broadened the group's reach beyond a niche audience into mainstream Polish rap recognition. Kali's raspy, melodic flow, often blending sung hooks with rapped verses, became one of the group's signature elements.
Over the years Ganja Mafia's line-up has shifted, with rappers and producers joining and leaving the collective, but it has remained one of the more recognizable brands in Polish rap tied to a consistent aesthetic of reggae-tinged, weed-themed hip-hop coming out of Kraków.
