Future, born Nayvadius DeMun Cash on November 20, 1983, is an American rapper and singer from Kirkwood, a neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia. He emerged from the city's Dungeon Family scene, where he is related to Rocko and Rico Wade, initially performing under the name Meathead before adopting his now-iconic stage name. His melodic, auto-tune-heavy delivery helped define the sound of modern trap and mumble rap, blurring the line between rapping and singing on hooks and verses alike.

Building close creative partnerships with Atlanta producers such as DJ Esco, Metro Boomin, Southside, Sonny Digital and Zaytoven, Future became one of the most prolific and influential figures in 2010s and 2020s hip-hop, releasing mixtapes and albums at a relentless pace.
