Froggy Fresh

Froggy Fresh is the comedic rap persona of American musician Tyler Cassidy. He first rose to internet fame under the name Krispy Kreme with low-budget, deliberately absurd music videos that went viral in the early 2010s; after the doughnut company objected to the name, he rebranded as Froggy Fresh. His style parodies mainstream rap and pop conventions through exaggerated bravado, childlike boasting and self-aware cheesiness, often compared to novelty and parody acts like «Weird Al» Yankovic.

Songs such as «The Baddest», «Dunked On» and «Denzel Washington» built a cult following on YouTube for their intentionally cheap production, deadpan delivery and internet-meme sensibility, turning Froggy Fresh into a recognizable figure in online comedy music. After releasing a third Froggy Fresh album, Cassidy announced he would pursue more serious music under his real name, stepping back from the character for several years.

In 2022 he revived the Froggy Fresh persona, promising new material along with a companion channel, Froggy Fresh Basement, dedicated to short, topical songs commenting on current events, continuing the character's tradition of internet-native comedic music.
