Frenkie

Frenkie, born Adnan Hamidović, is one of the most respected figures in Bosnian and regional Balkan hip hop, hailing from Bijeljina. He began his career on the radio station Fmjam before establishing himself as a solo artist whose lyrics consistently engage with the political situation, social inequality and poverty in post-war Bosnia and Herzegovina, making him a socially conscious voice within the regional rap scene.

He is a founding member of the influential hip hop collective Disciplinska Komisija, alongside Edo Maajka, HZA, Mire and DJ Soul — a group whose collaborative releases helped define the sound of Bosnian rap in the 2000s and expanded its reach across former Yugoslavia. His association with Edo Maajka in particular placed him at the center of the scene's most prominent creative partnerships.

Tracks such as «Izgubljeni snovi», «Identitet» and «Hajmo Ih Rušit» reflect his direct, often confrontational lyrical style, addressing themes of disillusionment and resistance. Frenkie's body of work, spanning solo output and group collaborations like «Frenkie i Buba Corelli», has made him a lasting reference point for Bosnian hip hop's engagement with social commentary.
