Freeze Corleone

Freeze Corleone, born Issa Lorenzo Diakhaté in Les Lilas, France, is a French rapper and producer of Italian and Senegalese descent who became one of the most influential figures in French street rap. He founded the collective 667 (Ligue des Ombres) and the label CFR, building a tightly-knit crew that includes artists such as Zuukou Mayzie, Osirus Jack and Jorrdee, with whom he collaborates frequently.

His music is marked by dense, dark, conspiracy-laced lyricism, sharp technical wordplay and a delivery drawing heavily on American trap and drill traditions, particularly the sounds of Atlanta and Chicago as well as artists like Fredo Santana. He is widely credited as one of the artists who helped popularize UK drill in France, blending it with a distinctly French street-rap sensibility.
