FouKi

FouKi is a rapper from Montreal, Quebec, part of a wave of French-Canadian hip-hop artists who brought a distinct Québécois voice to a genre long dominated by American and European styles. Working closely with producer QuietMike, he built a reputation through a series of independent projects before signing with the respected Montreal label 7ième Ciel, home to acts like Koriass and Alaclair Ensemble.

His rapping style blends a choppy, syncopated flow with melodic sensibility, moving fluidly between trap, reggae-inflected rhythms, and folk-tinged introspection. Tracks such as «Gayé» and «Copilote» showcase this range, mixing humor and vulnerability, while his willingness to experiment across moods and tempos set him apart from more uniform regional peers.

FouKi's debut album «Zay», released in 2018, marked a turning point that cemented his standing in Quebec's hip-hop scene, earning him recognition as one of the province's rising young voices in French-language rap.
