About the artist
Finesse2Tymes, born Ricky Hampton on June 10, 1992, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. Coming up alongside fellow Memphis artists like Moneybagg Yo and Blac Youngsta, he was part of the Memphis Greatest Underrated collective before building a solo career defined by an unmistakable, booming vocal delivery and hard-charging, motivational bars over trap-influenced production.
He broke through more widely with his 2019 mixtape Hustle & Flow, and after a public falling-out and eventual reconciliation with Moneybagg Yo, he signed to the latter's Bread Gang imprint before landing a distribution deal with J. Prince's Mob Ties Records through Atlantic. His single «Back End» became his biggest hit, reaching the Billboard Hot 100 in 2022.
Finesse2Tymes released the commercial mixtape 90 Days in late 2022 and his debut studio album Art of War in 2024. His catalog, including tracks like «Finesse Duh P», «Overdose» and «Nobody», reflects a Memphis rap sound built around aggressive energy, street narratives and hooks meant to be shouted rather than sung.
