About the artist
Felly, also known as Rob Fel, is an American rapper and producer who first built a following through YouTube videos showing his beat-making process, cultivating a DIY, hands-on image before he had a wide fanbase. He released his debut project, Waking Up To Sirens, on SoundCloud in 2014, followed the same year by Milk and Sugar, both establishing his laid-back, melodic take on hip-hop that blended rap with R&B and pop textures.
His sound moved in a more conceptual, atmospheric direction with 2015's This Shit Comes In Waves, a notable stylistic shift from his earlier, more straightforward output. He continued releasing independently, including the Young Fel EP in 2016, favoring warm, self-produced instrumentals over the trap-heavy sound dominant in mainstream rap at the time.
Felly has remained closely associated with the SoundCloud-rap and independent hip-hop scenes of the mid-2010s, valued for producing much of his own material and for a sound that draws as much from R&B and rock as from rap, giving his catalog a distinct, genre-blending identity.
