Fatal Bazooka

Fatal Bazooka is a French comedy rap project created by radio host and prankster Michaël Youn, blending exaggerated party rap with parody and humor. The project rose to fame in the mid-2000s on the wave of French novelty hip-hop, poking fun at machismo and club culture rather than taking the genre seriously.

Its biggest hit, «Fous ta cagoule», became a massive crossover success in France, and other tracks like «Parle à ma main» and «Mauvaise foi nocturne» followed the same formula of catchy hooks paired with absurd, self-mocking lyrics. Youn often performed alongside other French entertainers and singers as guest features, turning the songs into ensemble comedy pieces as much as music.

While not respected as a serious rap act, Fatal Bazooka left a lasting mark on French pop culture of the 2000s, and its songs remain associated with that era's taste for parody rap and viral radio hits.
